Nicolina’s Greek Orthodox Baptism – NJ Event Photographer
Back in December, we had the pleasure of photographing baby Nicolina’s baptism at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill, NJ. Nicolina’s mother Irene had reached out to us a few weeks earlier to see if we might be available to photograph the event which was set to take place a few days before Christmas. We were super excited to do so and happy that it was something different and unique from the many sessions we had been photographing recently.
The ceremony was beautiful, and the priest was probably my favorite of all time when it comes to photographing events & weddings. Prior to the arriving, we were sure to inquire with Irene about the rules for photographers in the church. We asked the usual questions like “Is flash allowed?” and “Are we allowed to move freely, yet unobtrusively during the ceremony?” She mentioned that she was pretty sure things would be pretty easygoing, mentioning that the priest was “really cool” and she was sure he would be really welcoming. We sort of laughed when she mentioned this, but she was certainly right. I really felt that it was also important to him that we were able to capture some photos for the family to remember the celebration by. He was very nice to us throughout.
Overall, we really enjoyed photographing baby Nicolina’s Christening, and her mother was super happy with the photos as well. She was even nice enough to pass on some kind words! Below is some of what she emailed us, and a sampling of the photos from the day!
Thank you so much for the beautiful photos! I LOVE them!! You guys did such a great job!! I am going through them and you captured so many great moments!!
