South Jersey Headshots – Bad Weather, Great Headshots!
South Jersey and Philadelphia Headshot Photographer
I’m a big fan of this time of year, but I definitely miss the warmer weather, especially heading outdoors for photo sessions!
Once the holiday season has wrapped up, the weather here in New Jersey usually settles into a gloomy, cold, and sometimes-wet grayness that lasts up until spring when we usually get hit with a lot of rain! Of course, this isn’t particularly inviting for planning sessions outdoors.
But, outdoor headshots and environmental portraits can just be so cool for a whole host of reasons. They can add a different, distinctive vibe to your photos and even communicate something additional about your brand, helping to draw attention to and differentiate it.
At S18 Photography, we decided to come up with a solution that would help allow us to achieve this look in the studio, and so we came up with a stunning new option for our clients. We created a completely new look that offers something special and unique in a better way than anything currently available.
We’re really excited to introduce our new Composite Headshots!
With S18 Photography’s new Composite Headshots, we are able to photograph clients directly in the comfort of our studio and then add in a custom, pre-created background or other stock imagery afterward for a polished, contemporary look.
You may be thinking… “photographers have been changing portrait backgrounds forever.” And you’re right, but in this case, we wanted to do it better and different than what anyone else currently has available. Our custom approach blows away the alternatives! Let’s take a look at some of the advantages!
These aren’t low-budget, cookie-cutter background swaps!
You may be thinking about the old elementary school photos with the laser beams or even the low-budget colored gradients that “guy with the really nice camera who does photography as a hobby” did for your office. No, this is not them.
Our Composite Headshots are the real deal, with natural-looking results. They don’t have crude, jagged-looking cutouts, and out-of-place backgrounds. Ours look natural, super-polished, and provide an unparalleled level of detail down to the last wisps of hair.
Commercial-Grade Retouching & Compositing Techniques
All of our images use high-end, professional compositing techniques and magazine quality retouching. Our process uses color matching, saturation matching, black point adjustments, and a host of color-grading techniques typically used in the cinema industry. The end result is something remarkable, where the subject is integrated flawlessly with their background… rather than a simple cut-and-paste job!
Customizable to Fit Your Brand
Our approach is fully-customized and focused on communicated your brand’s message. During your consultation, we’ll learn about your brand, and the visual imagery you want to represent it. We’ll select backgrounds that complement your vision. Let’s talk about what message you want your images to send!
Kick Your Images Up a Notch!
S18 Photography’s new Composite Headshots will amplify the level of your headshot’s refinement with a uniquely-stylized approach.
If you’re interested in adding this to your upcoming studio session, be sure to let us know ahead of time so that we can shoot your image to be most compatible with the process!
We’re looking forward to your next session, and in the meantime, stay warm!!
Last, but not least, who doesn’t love a good comparison? We figured a before-and-after shot would fit perfectly. The last image above and to the left is the final, retouched image of Kevin done in studio, and the image on the right is the newly-created Composite Headshot.
