Damien & Heather – Ocean City, NJ Wedding

Recently, we photographed Damien & Heather’s wedding in one of our favorite locations… Ocean City, NJ!  The location still looked great, despite the recent bout with Hurricane Sandy, and even though there was spotty rain throughout the day, it was still a terrific wedding!  Friends and family alike turned out to see the couple’s special day.

The day was filled with tears of joy, a few surprises, and the genuine connections of friends and family.  We really enjoyed being there to experience the occasion and capture it with our images so that Damien & Heather could enjoy it for years to come.  The ceremony was beautiful and set on the sands of the beach, where the crowd enjoyed music from steel drums.  During the ceremony, the couple released some gorgeous butterflies, and as a gift, the mother of the bride surprised them with some doves to release.  This was definitely a beautiful and unique experience, and the children at the ceremony crowded around to enjoy the release of the doves.

The reception was held at Brown’s Restaurant located at the intersection of St. Charles and the Boardwalk in Ocean City.  Brown’s is famous (…or almost famous!) for their donuts, and the owners and their family are close friends of the bride and her family.  It was a really cool place that was very special to the bride, making the perfect place for their reception.  We loved photographing Damien & Heather’s wedding, and here are some of the photos we captured…

Steven Coppola – NJ Headshot / Corporate Portrait Session

Recently, Steven Coppola, founder of Coppola Wealth Management in Mt. Laurel, NJ, and his wife Lisa stopped for some professional portraits / headshot photography.  As a former VP / Senior Account Representative at Fidelity Investments, Steven worked with a great deal of high net worth individuals before deciding to go out on his own and open his own firm.  It was pretty cool to have a chance to chat with Steven and get to know him a bit during his session.

Steven and Lisa were really terrific, and I enjoyed working with them quite a bit.  They were super happy with their photos, and Steven was even kind enough to write a me a very nice review!  It’s always great when someone goes out of their way to say something nice!  Here is what Steven had to say and a peek at some of his photos!  We’ll post photos from Lisa’s session soon!

Fred is very personable and perfect at putting you at ease.. He was an outstanding professional in every way. He turned around my photos in 48 hours and I have already gotten a few compliments on my new head shots.

Cherry Hill, NJ Real Estate Photography Session

A few weeks ago, I photographed a really nice home in Cherry Hill, NJ.  We scheduled the session for mid afternoon, and the sun was out in full force!  It was one of the string of days during the recent heat wave, and it was seriously hot out!  One of my favorite parts of this home was the really large enclosed patio in the rear, with a hot tub and an area for an entire family to relax… really cool stuff.  Even though it was a really awesome feature, I almost wished it was a pool with cold water that I could jump into!

One of my favorite things about real estate photography is having the chance to meet & talk to some really nice people.  The owner of this house was great.  Not only was she super helpful with moving some things around for the photos, but she was also a blast to talk with.  She works as a nurse in the intensive care section of the nearby Virtua Hospital, and she shared some really great stories about her experiences.  I really enjoyed speaking with her & getting some great images of her home.  Here’s some of the shots!

Bill Strippoli – Marlton, NJ Author Headshots

Bill Strippoli is a author, comedian, motivational speaker, and LGTB activist who resides in Marlton, NJ, close by to our studio.  He explained that he was very excited to be publishing a book soon, “Billy Versus The Bullies – My Journey From Victim To Victor,” and that he wanted to get some professional headshots to go along with this and some of his other endeavors.  He liked our work, so he decided to contact us for his headshot photography.  I was definitely excited to help Bill get some great photographs!

Bill enjoyed our session together, and I had the pleasure of getting to know him a bit while photographing him.  He has quite a story, filled with tremendous struggles and achievements, and his book is written to recount his own journey and inspire anyone who has ever been bullied.

When shooting professional portraits, I always put my clients at ease by talking and joking with them to take their mind off of the process.  Most people tend to start off nervous when they come to us, but I’m always able to get them to let their guard down to get them the photos that will make them look and feel terrific.  For me, it’s about getting them to connect with the camera in a genuine way.  It’s about getting them to be themselves and looking how they want to look.  Anyone can spot a fake smile or expression, so I make sure to capture the photos that show real connections and authentic emotions.  Those smiles are real smiles!  Here’s some of the images from Bill’s headshot session…

Real Estate Photography – New Interactive Floor Plan Tours

Over the past few years, we’ve done a bunch of real estate photography on houses of all sizes and shapes.  We’ve photographed homes for terrific top producing real estate agents and even home owners themselves throughout New Jersey and into Pennsylvania.  While located in Marlton, NJ, we’ve frequently traveled to the Jersey Shore and up through Monmouth County, NJ to provide exceptional quality real estate photography and virtual tours.

Throughout all of this, we’ve provided some awesome options for virtual tours to showcase the homes, and I’m very excited about a new virtual tour option that we’ve decided to roll out.  These new Interactive Floor Plan Tours are really cool, and they allow people to click through the floor plan of the house while viewing some awesome photography from the point of view shown on the floor plan.  They’re definitely a unique and interactive way for a potential home owner to check out a house online.  However, I have to be honest and admit that I can’t completely take the credit for choosing to put these together.  They were actually specially requested by a client of mine, Haley DeStefano.  Hats off to her for the great idea!  Check out the screenshots of a recent Interactive Floor Plan Tour I put together for one of her listings!  (Click on them to visit the actual tour — I recommend you do, because it’s pretty cool stuff!)

These tours are super interactive, user friendly, and branded so that a buyer can easily get in touch with the listing agent if they like the home.  (MLS-friendly unbranded tours are also delivered with each purchase.)  We decided to host these tours on our own server, and built a custom platform around them.  This gave us a great deal of control on how to implement them and customize them.  The tour link actually takes you to a custom landing page where the agent’s information is displayed along with other information.  Two of the best features are the social media sharing accessibility and the link to a mobile version of the tours for easy compatibility with any mobile device.  The screenshot below is from the landing page for the tour above.  (Click to visit!)

One of the things we’re really big on at S18 Photography is the custom nature of our business, whether it be real estate photography or even weddings, portraiture, or newborn photography.  We really work hard to stay on the cutting edge of technology and stay innovative.  That’s probably why our clients like us so much!

For clients who might not be interested in the new interactive floor plan tours, that’s ok too.  We are still offering our super-sleek, and downright amazing tours on our S18 Tours platform… they won’t be going away anytime soon!  Clients have always loved them for their massive images and awesome interfaces.  Check them out by clicking the screenshot below!
